DESCRIPTION: Gustav Becker, Freiberg, Germany, Vienna style regulator, 8 day, time only, weight driven movement in a walnut case with fluted columns flanking the door glass and turned ornaments, brass clad pendulum, white enamel dial reading in part "Breitinger & Kunz / Philadelphia", subsidiary seconds, and blued steel hands.
CONDITION: There is a split and missing piece of wood at the top of the door. The case has some veneer losses and scratches. The door is difficult to open. The lower left finial is absent. The movement is stamped with the Becker trademark, the Medaille d'Or award, and serial number 752359. Breitinger & Kunz were located at 37 and 39 North Ninth Street in Philadelphia (as noted on the dial) where they sold jewelry, watches, and watch supplies.
